Climate change

It is quite clear now, and will become more so when latest scientific research is released into the public realm that climate change is happening even more rapidly than anyone could have predicted. This will bring about massive changes to virtually everything we take for granted at present. As the effects become more evident there is likely to be a need for universities to review there function in society, to divert resources and expertise from more traditional areas to those which will be of greatest benefit to mankind as we face the new realities that lie ahead. Universities need to start now to plan for this sea change, to take action to get ahead of the wave and remain at the forefront of learning and teaching as we move into a new paradigm.
